A few weeks ago, I posted a video of the last time Fashion Not Fear was on runway. It was 2019. You know how people say, “you never know what you have ‘til it’s gone.” I couldn’t agree with that statement any more than I do right now.
This mama is having some serious fashion show withdrawals. Completing a collection and seeing it go down a runway is one of the best feelings I’ve ever experienced. It’s a lot of work. Plus, there are times when I’m up late at night, cursing at the machine and throwing stuff. But it’s always worth it in the end. Always.
According to the latest updates about COVID, it appears that things won’t be anywhere close to being normal until the Fall. Which has me wondering should I wait or do a virtual runway show??
I’ve attended a few virtual shows in recent months. And I really enjoyed them! During one of them I watched in my PJs with a glass of champagne in one hand and baby in the other. With others I viewed, I got dressed up just to make me feel like a part of the occasion. Either way, it was pretty fantastic!
This is where I need your help. Do you think I should do a virtual runway show?? If so, what type of things would you like to see???
The Minty Fresh Bodysuit was released a few days ago. This is the first bodysuit available in the Fashion Not Fear Collection!
Check out theses pics to show how it was made…
Found this beautiful Lacey fabric during a sourcing trips. There is never a rhyme or reason to my sourcing. Sometimes I just see a textile that I like and go for it. Other times, I have something specific in mind and I look for fabric that will match the look that I’m going for.
In this case, I found the fabric before the idea. So, I’m trying to figure out what to make from it.
After deciding on a sexy bodysuit, I start cutting out the fabric.
Once everything is cut. I bring out a fit model to try it on. 😉
After perfecting the fit, everything is sewn together. The only thing left to do is add snaps.
And it’s done!

The Daring Jacket was released a few weeks back. And it’s one of my favorite new pieces in the collection. (I feel like I always say that!). But it’s true. The print is amazing, I love anything with dramatic sleeves, and it’s lightweight enough to wear any time of the year.
I’m always preaching about considering ways you can style a piece for buying it. If you can’t wear it multiple ways; what’s the point??
I thought I’d help you do some of the styling work this time. Here are 3 ways you can style the Daring Jacket.
The handcrafted Daring Jacket is versatility at its best!! Remember, Fashion Not Fear pieces are limited so shop it while it’s’ still available. Which is your favorite look? Let me know in the comments…
I love wearing a skirt. Always have, always will. They are comfy and can easily be dressed up with heels or down with sneakers. It really doesn’t get any more simple than that.
There is a large selection of skirts available at Blue Labels Boutique. Here are some of the most shopped from the store.
2020 has been quite a year! Unfortunately, amongst other things, it led us to not be able to have a runway show. All of the shows that we were scheduled to appear in were cancelled.
But there’s always next year…hopefully!
One thing is for sure, I won’t take for granted being able to participate being in a show. I never realized how much it was missed until the option was no longer there. So, for reminiscing purposes, I wanted to show you the last show we did in 2019.
Take a look at time Fashion Not Fear was put on a runway! You will notice something about their face accessories. Am I a fortune teller or what?? Plus, wait til the end to get all of the outfit details.
Which was your favorite look?? Let me know in the comments…
