If you havenāt shopped the daily sale for the past few days, you are really missing out. If you havenāt heard, each day itās 50% off a selected item for one day only!
Today is one of my favorite dresses. Itās sexy, has a vibrant color, and I love the slinky material that itās made out of.
A couple of days ago, I posted a sketch on IG of the first piece from the Fall 2021 FNF Collection.
Right after that post, I got to work on constructing the garment. And although, I loved the rough sketch. I have made alot of changes to it once I started manipulating the fabric.
This collection may be the best one yet!
Have I said that before?
Nevertheless, I feel this way for a few reasons. Firstly, the fabric that Iāve sourced. The classic prints range from the colors of the sun to the multitude of colors found on the leaves that are about to start falling from the trees.
Another reason this may be the best yet is because of the construction. Each collection I create, I try to involve more techniques and aim to put my own spin on things. Pinpointing my signature style (although I havenāt quite found it yet) is my main goal. That will be reflected in this collection.
Also, since some of us are still in the house 24/7 and others are outside. I felt that it was necessary to make dresses that you can wear both in the house and if youāre out and about.
The first piece will be released next week and I canāt wait for you all to check it out.
Weddings seem to be finally back on after they came to a screeching halt due to COVID. Although, I myself had to have a courthouse wedding due to the pandemic. Canāt wait for a do-over in a beautiful gown (but Iāll save that story for another day).
If you find yourself back to receiving invites and not knowing what to wear. Donāt stress yourself. Stay in and let us do all of the work. Here are some ideas on what to wear the next time youāre on the guest list. And they can be sent right to your doorstep, of course.

If none of these do it for it, try out the only jumper we have, the Too Tied Jumper. Itās cute and you canāt go wrong in black. š¤·š½āāļø. Oh and donāt forget the tissue.
A few months back, I held the first of many Custom Dress Giveaway. The winner was sent sketches of 3 different looks to choose from.
The winner chose option B. After picking the style, she was also given the opportunity to select their color and fabric choices. She was sent photos of various colors and printed fabrics.
She ultimately said she wanted a color combination of red and purple. Also, that she wanted it be made from a satin material.
Take a look at how the completed dress turned out…
Thoughts on the dress? Would do you like or dislike about it?? Will you be entering the next giveaway?? (Which will be announced very soon) Let me know in the commentsā¦
A couple of weeks ago, the Wild Child Coverup Set dropped. And it has been a hit! Iām so excited about the love this set has received.
I didnāt see myself getting much use of it this Sumner because Iām not ready to take my baby to the pool. However, my husband convinced me to sit by the pool for an evening drink a few days ago and I agreed. Not knowing that my hair was gonna get splashed like crazy! And if thereās one thing my hair doesnāt like itās pool or ocean water. Itās an absolute mess once it gets wet.
Lucky for me, I wore the Wild Child Top over my swimsuit top.
The hoodie saved my life. No…really!
The hoodie is everything! No one knew how much of a mess this hair was when we left. Walking away with baby on the hip and holding my husbands hand. I left as stylish as I came. Iād say itās worth it. š¤·š½āāļø
Thoughts on the coverup set?? Do you want to cover up your hair when leaving the pool or beach? Let me know in the comments…
Not too long ago, I posted a sketch of a new dress being made for the Fashion Not Fear Collection.
Iāve really been wanting to get my followers more involved in the process of making this dress. Everyone has options they want to share. And I love hearing them!
The first question I asked on IG stories was whether to go with a solid or a printed fabric.
Printed fabric won by a landslide. So, I took a lot of time to find a vintage inspired fabric to make this dress out of.
After getting advice on the fabric, I posted another question a few days ago to get advice.
The bodice was being made. After putting on one sleeve, I left the other one off to ask, āShould the dress be made with or without sleeves?ā
100% voted to go with no sleeves. Thatās what I was thinking. Which is why I asked. Plus, itās gonna hit almost 100 degrees this week. So, this girl wants her arms out.
Be sure to follow me on IG so you can be apart of the next creation. Plus, there is an AWESOME giveaway happening on there right now. Look for the post on our page.
This look will be finished this weekend. Iām so excited to share it with you. Thoughts on the changes?? Let me know in the comments…
Spring arrived a few weeks back and whoās excited about it? Flowers, sunny days, fruit season…whatās not to love?
Now that itās arrived, you may be in need of adding a bit of Spring to your wardrobe too.
Springerizing your closet doesnāt require you to buy a whole need wardrobe. There are a few easy things you can do to make you ready to get out there and enjoy the new season.
And they are…
Add something sheer to your look. Out with the heavy fabric and in with the lightweight flowy stuff. A sheer top of skirt paired with a simple skirt or t-shirt will do the trick.
Tribal Girl Skirt
Flower Power! Nothing says spring like a floral piece. It can be something as simple as a floral printed headband.
Gallant Headband
Flirty Hem – A dress with a flirty hem is the way to go for Spring! Especially one that will go with any tank you already have in your closet. Or without a tank.
Denim On The Fray Dress
Add a pop of color – Now is the time to break up the black youāve been wearing with some color. A bold pair of earrings will put the Spring in your step.
Fish Scale Earrings
Be Shady – Shades are a must to blocking the Spring sun in style.
Kat Sunglasses
These simple additions will have you rocking Spring in style. Which are your faves?? Let me know in the comments…
A few days ago, I shared a sketch of the next dress being made for the Fashion Not Fear Collection.
In that post, the question was asked if the dress should be made from a printed material or a solid color material. The poll question was also asked on IG story. Print won by an overwhelming margin on both platforms.
After you helped to pick a fabric style, my search was on! I knew I wanted something that was rich in color. But also something that has sort of a vintage look.
Well, without further ado…check out the fabric that was selected.
It has colors of green, yellow, white, navy, orange and specks of other colors too. I searched high and low for a textile that would match the look I was going for. And this one nailed it!
And so the sewing is about to begin. Canāt wait for you to see this one completed. What are your thoughts on the fabric? Let me know in the comments…
Prints won by a very large margin. So this dress will definitely be made from a printed material. Stay tuned for the reveal! Thoughts on which I should go with??? Drop them in the comments…
A few weeks ago, I posted a video of the last time Fashion Not Fear was on runway. It was 2019. You know how people say, āyou never know what you have ātil itās gone.ā I couldnāt agree with that statement any more than I do right now.
This mama is having some serious fashion show withdrawals. Completing a collection and seeing it go down a runway is one of the best feelings Iāve ever experienced. Itās a lot of work. Plus, there are times when Iām up late at night, cursing at the machine and throwing stuff. But itās always worth it in the end. Always.
According to the latest updates about COVID, it appears that things wonāt be anywhere close to being normal until the Fall. Which has me wondering should I wait or do a virtual runway show??
Iāve attended a few virtual shows in recent months. And I really enjoyed them! During one of them I watched in my PJs with a glass of champagne in one hand and baby in the other. With others I viewed, I got dressed up just to make me feel like a part of the occasion. Either way, it was pretty fantastic!
This is where I need your help. Do you think I should do a virtual runway show?? If so, what type of things would you like to see???
Drop your thoughts in the comments… Iām waiting!
