A Guide To Being Brave With Your Fashion Choices

Do you look at people who wear bright colors and patterns and unusual shapes and wish you could be more like them with your fashion choices? You’re not alone! Lots of people wish they could be more adventurous but they don’t really know how to do it – they’re scared of what others will think, worry they’ll look silly, and overthink it to the point of staying in their comfort zone when it comes to clothes forever and ever. Well, worry no more! This guide is going to help you to finally break out of that comfort zone and be brave with your fashion choices all while staying true to yourself. Staying true to yourself is key when you’re looking to be more adventurous with clothing – read on to find out how to do it:

    Start Off Small

Don’t worry about wearing an absolutely crazy outfit and feeling silly all day. Start off small! You can click here to get a feel for some unusual jewelry you can try, or you could choose a patterned pair of shoes or a scarf. Do something courageous and make it a small baby step. You can’t be expected to completely change your style up in a few days, so just take your time with it and build up your confidence when it comes to your style. You’ll gradually get a feel for different things you like to wear.

    Know What Works For You

You can’t copy anybody else’s style. The key is to know what works for you – it’s all about developing your own personal style and knowing what you love to wear. Figure out the colors that compliment you and those that you enjoy wearing, as well as the shapes and patterns you feel great in. Pay attention to how you feel every time you get dressed. If something didn’t work for you, why? Was it the material, the color, the cut? If something did work, why? Take pictures of yourself every time you feel great so you can get ideas!

Oh, and don’t forget to go through your current wardrobe and get rid of anything that doesn’t make you feel awesome. Be vigilant. If you haven’t worn something in a year, chances are, you won’t wear it again.

Don’t force yourself to keep something if it doesn’t make you feel amazing. Getting rid will give you space to bring new, awesome clothes in!

    Completely Ignore Rules And Trends

Don’t even worry about the ‘rules’ and ‘trends’ that magazines like to talk about. Trends come and go, but true style stays forever. Work on your sense of style. Break the rules – mix metals, clash colors, and wear patterns head to toe. Avoid trends like the plague unless you really, truly love them and know you will get your wear out of them. Be your own authentic self and avoid the noise coming from those around you.

Have fun with your clothing and make sure you are choosing items that reflect your personality!
