I hope this weekend gave you everything, single thing that you needed in your life. Sometimes it is a good meal, other times it is much needed time kicking it with the family, catching up on things that you didn’t during the week, getting in a good workout…I hope you got everything you needed. I know that I did. I was able to do all of the above in addition to working on a new piece that will be added to the boutique very soon.
I found a gorgeous fabric that was super lightweight, had a beautiful color, and playful design. As soon as I laid my eyes on it, I knew that I had to have it.
This fabric was screaming to be made into a girly top that has ruffles, pretty sleeves, or some type of girly detail! I started designing what the top would look like but I was unable to decide on the final detail…the sleeves.
Here are three styles that were sketched. Take a look and help me decide which sleeve to go with.
Puffy, capped, or ruffle….which sleeve would you choose? Tops are made and are due to be released this week Only the sleeves are missing. 😫 Help me decide the sleeve. Let me know in the comments….
New pieces from the handcrafted collection, Fashion Not Fear is steadily being released on BlueLabelsBoutique.com. As a matter of fact, there is probably a new drop every two weeks or so, which means you should be checking often! 😀 If you happen to forget, no worries…you will be sure to get an update right here at FNF.
The Sanguine Dress is next up. Sanguine??… you might be thinking.
The word means being optimistic or positive, especially in an difficult situation. Optimism is an absolute requirement in being fearless. The name didn’t occur to me at when I started. It wasn’t until after looking at the finished product.
First of all, it’s deep v-neckline is hella sexy. If you look good, you feel good aka optimistic. Plus, it is also a maxi. There is something abut a long dress that always makes me feel good when I’m wearing it. Maybe it is how the material feels brushes against my legs. Or perhaps it is because my height (4′ 11″) requires me to hold it up one the sides when walking so that it doesn’t drag on the floor. So girly is that!! 💕 I can’t put my finger on it but maxi dresses are my jam!
There are a few things that need to be done before it comes out.
Seams to finish.
Thread to remove.
Almost at the finish line! For now, you can feast your eyes on a sketch of the dress.
Stay tuned this week so you can get yours when it drops. Who’s feeling the Sanguine dress?? Let me know in the comments..
I am far from a professional illustrator. That was my biggest fear when I considered whether or not to share my sketches. But who cares??? I wasn’t a fashion designer a year ago either. So there’s that. 🤷🏽♀️
Without further hesitation, check out our Top 6 most liked (via social media) shared so far.

Happy Monday!! I hope that the weekend was everything you wanted it to be and more. If you have been following us on IG; then you might have noticed that I often share sketches of pieces that I am creating. I want people to see what the idea was behind the piece and then to see how it actually turns out.
What are your thoughts on seeing the sketches from the Fashion Not Fear Collection? Let me know in the comments. Then head to BLB to see the Art Strokes Top!
Bright, cheery, flirty…these are the first words that pop into my mind when I look at the Oh Sunny Day Dress. As soon as I came across this fabric, I fell in love with it! First, I sketched my thoughts on how I wanted the dress to look.
